Salisbury rear axles

hi all, been a long time I know, hope all are well. In my workshop manual a Salisbury axle is listed as an option on the Commer, I assume these are rather rare?

The van is steadily improving as I work through issues. The real issue to tackle now is rust. I have some panels and my stock of sheet metal. I need a couple of basic tools and I’ll attempt my first visible repair. I intend to body solder the seams!
 
I’ll try and upload some tonight, most of the activity has been around the engine. The body needs my attention, I had hoped to pay someone but house renovations are my budget. I may still get tricky bits done professionally but I’m going to have to get stuck in on the other bits. I actually would love to do it all myself but the biggest issue I have is I have to work on the street/in the drive.
 
I have some panels from Martin, including rear quarters. I’m hoping that, to an extent, having those means I can drill out the old ones, prep the seams and weld the whole ones back in. That seems less risky to me. The front and peak are more tricky!!

I plan to use body solder/lead loading to try and seal the seams (with appropriate safety measures) as it seems to me a better way of preventing creeping rust in the future
