used rattle cans - 7/10 - 8/10
Would like try try the paint and a propah air gun, to see what the difference was like. The biggest problem I found is that the aerosol paint is very very thin, so the difference between not enough paint and "AAAARGH RUNS EVERYWHERE!" is a millisecond.
Just go to your local motorfactor that does paint and order coachpaint available in any colour, can be hand painted with brushes or thinned and sprayed, we used it to hand paint Sams minor and the results are superb.the shine is incredible and has lasted really well considering it was done about three years ago. if brush painting use up and down strokes and brush ripples will smooth into themselves, can be flatted back and polished up if needs be. GMF motorfactors 01452 528800 if you get stuck locally.[8D]
Still actually not finished (havent cut back final coat yet) will probably do another coat in the spring then cut it back. Havent really had much time to work on him in recent months.
Roller it on, thats the whole point of using it hence the lack of mess and overspray.Ive been told you can paint with it in cold temperatures but I would recommend you thin it right down a lot more than the amount I recommend in the Percy thread otherwise it may not be until next year before the paint goes off-lol
At the end of the day it cost me £100 overall to do the whole van inc all the materials and paint- cant moan too much
