Rust.

I have spent most of the day sanding and stripping my commer. I always thought there would be more rust than just the little section on the side panel. I have found quite a bit of rust, but have sanded it and applies aqua steel so hopefully this will tackle it. I have also found a little bit of rust under some of the original paintwork. I just hope the previous owner didn`t paint over a lot more.[!]

I have taken back most of the rust that i have found, just need to blend and fill(when it stops raining) and then i can undercoat and put a topoat on for now. I eventually want ti do a re-spray but its down to cost.

can you explain 'taken back most of the rust' please - recently bought a project and rust is much worse than i thought..its actually rot more than rust, cant afford to replace everything so need to do remedial work on some parts pending further funds..whats the best thing to do?

Hi Panky, will take some pictures later on today. When i say i have taken back some of the rust, it means i have gone back to the metal where the areas of rust were.
