I'm still in the thick of it. Too much to say about it really here but certainly seek out all the info you can get. Have a look on my Readers Ride as i think i may have a few pics on there. Will post something better tomorrow in terms of websites.
Panky put the website up that i was thinking of. Have a good look around it. If you have a spare 1.5k go and have it sprayed. But if you are mad, like myself and refuse to pay that, then follow this method. I have some great results but it's not an easy way out. It has taken me many, and i mean many man hours of wet sanding. The results however will shock any sharp eyed folk. I cannot wait to finish mine. Any questions feel free to mail me. Good luck!!!
Run like the wind from rustoleum is my opinion. Using it on my 1275gt is my biggest regret. And the only solution is to remove every last trace of it by getting the shell dipped and starting again. You can't put any other paint on top of it as it reacts and IMHO it doesnt really harden. The only plus sides are the rustproofing and ease of use.

I don't mean to presume anybody's financial position mate. I think what's more important here, is that these van's are kept on the road. I think everyone opinions are valid, we all have slightly different ideas for our commers. But as comm-don says the more commers we keep on the road the better. For me I can't afford to have my van sprayed, but hopefully my best mate will be able to spray it for me using rust oleum . I am a very proud owner of a commer, and without the help of our forum I would struggle. My van is taking shape now, I can't wait to take my little girl out in her. We all have one thing in common.....we all love commers.

Ummm, it isn't mate. Herald and VW are on wedding duties this year so are both taking up my precious time. Will get on the case though... will have had a fair bit more welding experience by the time the Commer gets the wand waved over it!

Cant advise on that but if you Google it I'm sure there'll be someone who knows. One thing I do know is that when you mix it don't whisk it about but gently stir and fold the paint with a broad, flat spatular - otherwise it gets full of bubbles and they show up when you paint it on[xx(]
