Running gear for sale (not removed yet)

Hi there,

This is just to see if anyone is interested in bits before they start being removed?

Basically the engine, gearbox, selector rods, gearstick, radiator, exhaust, propshaft, rear axle, diff, brakes, leaf springs and shocks will all be removed from my Autosleeper over the coming months. Possibly the front subframe too...

The carb and dizzy have already been sold, but apart from that the rest of the running gear is still there ready to be removed.

If anyone is interested, please let me know?

Logbook says it's a 1598cc engine, but I can find out more if this isn't correct (I kinda thought it would have been a 1.7?) As for the gearbox, all I know right now is that it's a manual...how many cogs it's got I couln't say without checking it out.

As for prices, being new to Commers, I really wouldn't know where to start, so if someone wants to make offers or give me realistic prices then I'd be grateful.

Many thanks.

Hi mate,
I'd be interested in the brakes exhaust and selector rods! Where about's are you? and have you a number? Maybe a few other bits too!

Cheers

Alan.

Hi Alan,

Sorry for not putting my location - I thought it would have appeared under my username like it does on other forums (listed it in my profile, but doesn't seem to show)

I am in Bristol but the van is going to be in Essex for quite a period while it gets pulled apart, lots of new metal melted into place and new running gear installed.

Once bits are removed you are welcome to collect them from Essex or if you can wait a bit longer, I should be there monthly and can bring bits back with me to collect in Bristol.

I'll email you my number (not too keen on posting it publicly) and please feel free to call me or text me.

Many thanks,

Bruce.

Thanks Jon,

I've sent you an email about the fridge :)

Regarding the running gear, I'm keeping that side of things under my hat for now until all parts have been finalised. I've got the engine, gearbox, rear axle and suspension sorted and sat waiting to go in at some point...but still got some research to do before getting the front end stuff sourced.

Ok then i was just goin to see if you needed some info regard what fits as im in the process of a conversion using a ford tdi engine pm me if you dont want to put it on here. I dont know what your skill set is but there not an easy van to fit different engines/gearboxes/axles to with the gearbox being half way up the van and you sitting infront unless using something like a hiace or the like which already have a simlar set up.

I know you haven't offered it here, but as per my comments on your other thread, I'm interested in a front bumper if you do decide to sell, fanx.

Thanks Chamba, I'm still in two minds if I'm going to keep the bumpers or not, but if I do decide to sell you've got first refusal on the front one.
