Roof Rack Solution

After spending months trying to find something suitable (and after BMM's fashion show demonstrated what was not suitable:I):

VW ones dont fit, I have tried as I got a loan of the 4 different types VW Heritage make (thanks Heritage) to try them out

Bit skimpy as BMM says:

Pop top wont go down:

I finally bit the bullet and made one out of stainless

Its low enough so as not to protrude higher than the roof so as not to worsen the already terrible Commer aerodynamics. Should be good for kids bikes and the awning I plan to buy.

Its mandrel bent 304 stainless. Internally studded.

Im happy to make another one to order. But its not really commercially viable as it would be pretty pricey as its hand made in London, not stamped out in China.

Yes that is the ebay roofrack on XPT (my van), it fits perfectly and does not foul the pop top. I've mentioned it on a few roofrack threads and at Commerfest but no one has cottoned on [B)], the only thing about it is the powder coating is not very good, it went dull after a year, wants re-doing [xx(]
