Rip in roof vinyl..

Hi I have a few rips in the roof lining inside my commer, does anyone ave any tips on how to repair them?
 
Hi Andrew,do you mean the head lining or the pop up roof lining ?

My brother put a 2" tear in my otherwise immaculate lining...gutted. Tried duck tape fed in to do it put pretty crappy tbh. Any tips on glues would also be greatfully received here.

If its in the head lining you will struggle to get a seamless join back as its under tension in every direction.if you want it perfect you would be better of releasing one side then using contact adhesive on the back and putting a small patch on it.do not attempt to stretch back untill the glue is totally stuck as the amount of stretch its under will just pull it right off again.

try to post a picture,rather than buy a whole new roof you might be able to get repair patches that glue on

Finally I have managed to post some pictures, even though they are small you can see the ripsin the fabric.
 
It looks like you need to remove the beading from around the edge, undo the screws in the support leg - then see if you can glue a repair patch on the back as Pablo suggested.

As panky sais the support leg needs taking off first.id stick a panel over the whole section mate.be alot neater if you can get some matching material.any pics of your van mate?

Hi Pablo, I'm gonna look for some material in charity shops. As I only need a bit I wonder if anyone on here has any spare material? When you say pics of my van do you just mean general pictures? My van is almost ready to paint now just to take the back windows out.
 
Yeh general pics.get some on here? Be good to see it.i haven't got any spare at the mo but will keep a look out.
