Rev counter

Hello everyone , has anyone fit a Rev counter ?, can you share how to wire one up and suggest what type to buy

If you're using a points system then any basic one will do.
I have replaced my speedo with an Autometer rev counter but that won't work with a normal ignition system.
I would decide where you want it to fit and find one the right size

I’ve got electronic dizzy does that alter things ?, what about the wiring what goes where

Very easy to wire up - one wire goes to the negative on the coil, One to a switched ignition feed (live when ignition is one) and the final wire is a ground - i.e. attaches to the body anywhere.
Probably need another live from the light circuit to illuminate it at night which you could take off another dial.

Ok thanks, I’ve just found a couple on eBay , is there no difference between points and electronic ?

No difference - I’ve electronic ignition on mine, the coil is the trigger for the revs.
Just make sure it’s for a 4 cylinder engine though some have a switch you can adjust for different cylinders numbers
