It used to be a big show, but seems to shrink every year since the organisers changed a few years ago and stopped advertising it ...Im not going this year

I think the power of Ebay and the internet in general has helped to see the decline of this show as it has many others. So many jumblers now just put there stock on the web, where it often makes more money, and buyers dont need to drive miles to search for that elusive part.
You cant beat a good rummage around a jumble because there are still gems to be found but its a lot easier to sit at home and browse through Ebay. We all do it!

There used to be a lot of good shows at the site, but after 2001 a lot of them died off after being cancelled in the foot & mouth outbreak. They still have the National Kit Car show there I think, but even that's shrunk.
The shows never recovered from not being there for a year, partly to blame are the owners for whacking the pitch prices right up the year after to try and recoup some of the money they lost.
Shame as it's a good site for camping (if you don't need electric) and a nice location. I would say that though as it's next to my hometown!

nowhere near the show it was.lots of empty spaces and well spaced out stalls but still picked up some bargains,nos exterior front door lock for a fiver was robbery and two new old stock talbot sunbeam fuel tanks for twenty quid each was a bargain,also a new fibreglass wing for the cob restoration as well,so worth the trip
