if you look closely,that is a bunk bracket,bolted behind the grab handle with the hook at the bottom for a bunk pole [8D]

All metal work repaired.
Next was the task of removing old paint. Unfortunaltely quite a lot of old paint as the last 2 times it had been resprayed some bodgers had put the new paint on top of the old - why dont people do things properly and remove the old paint first down to bare metal[V]
Used up 100+ DA discs[:0] removing this lot.
Now in ghostly white primer.

Scott, maybe you prefer the backdrop of spare engines to booby calenders?

What colours did you go through Jules mine had been blue, green and a sort of baby blue/grey over the years... along with some red oxide between layers!

4 more coats of primer later (and some pretty laborious elbow grease rubbing down each time) its ready to turn into the giant rhubabtb and custard

Not forgotten . I always try and leave mounting holes till last so as things line up as best as possible (just needed one as a datum point). As all Commers are individuals so are the bumpers
