Popped into the resto show at donington park today. Got a couple of prints of commers and a funky model. There was a lovely coachbuild there, dark green and duck egg blue. Looked to be an early one. Similar to Martins that he took to Wales, without the side door, but with the mouldings round the wheelarches, and a jack Russell in the drivers seat! No owner about to talk to.

I don't know the owner myself, but I know that he's on the forum (very occasionally) and a few on here know him. And I think it is a van which is in both good health and in regular use.
It's an early Highwayman, by the way, manufactured by Bluebird Caravans in 1962 or 1963, I suppose. These early Highwayman campers had these lovely "wings" at the side around the rear wheels. And they were also painted in two contrasting colours. Also, the side windows towards the front of the coachbuilt section were separate units, rather than the later vans which only had one big windowed area on either side of the van. Personally, I really like these early Highwayman campers. The interior on these is also very interesting.
So - even though it looks like Martin's posh Hadrian camper, it is actually a Highwayman
