resto info/pics on window pillar repair?

have attacked outer skin where roof gutter continues down by the window,have cut off level with edge of window pillar thus revealing some nasty pitted material underneath. have got some fresh metal left which i had folded for roof gutter-just needs folding a touch more due to concave of window pillar so that when its slipped in it will line up with roof gutter(need to clean out all rust and crap first though).

Once you've cleaned it out splash a load of Aquasteel in there, it will keep the rot at bay for a lot longer.
For someone who's new to bodywork you certainly aint scared of getting stuck in[^]

thanks panky, have had quite a few different jobs-all very hands on so i'll give pretty much anything a go.(still mistakes to be made i'm sure but thats the learning process for you. The first mistake i made was to try and weld too much in one go(won't do that again).
