Resprays...

Fortunately not for Snail, but the alpine.

Can anyone recommend (from experience) an outfit 'down south' (preferably not far from the M3)that does good resprays?

many thanks

sAM:)

Try Glen Moody in Hayes (just north of Heathrow) on 020 8573 9546. He's a classic car/bike owner and restorer. Works from home and he's neither cheap nor expensive. Tell him Barry form the Imp Club recommended him.

On the same sort of note, does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on traditional signwriters?

kjh;)

I think they are all retired now you might get lucky [8D]
I use to visit my aunt & uncle he use to be a signwriter I would admire his work everytime.

I shared a house in North London with a trained signwriter (and a load of other guys) in the mid-nineties, and he was about 30 years old back then...

Haven't got his number, unfortunately [V]

why not go for stickers instead of sign writing? Quicker cheaper easier and easy to cange your mind! I think martin got stickers for his BT van.

sorry don't know about southern resprays...

Get your signed painted or stickered onto a magnetic board then you can run with or without the sign - helps with re-sale too.

Guys, thanks for the advice - and to those that have pm'ed me, am and will chase them up.

kjh - i've a friend who trained as a sign writer and has done a fair amount of 'paint resto' on traditional fayre 'round rides and steam engines etc. - have pm'ed you her contact details. she is based in Coleford (the forest...) and did a great job of the flowers on my morris traveller - but that's another story...

Thanks Sam,
We're down in Somerset so not that far from Coleford really, will certainly give them a call in the near future.

im sure if you look in the back of the custom car magazine which comes out every month there is a cople of guys who advertize in there for sign writing with paints, i will try and dig an old copy out and find the numbers later, because i was going to have my panel van done this way as well,;);):p
