Removing radiator..

I guess you came out of it with Commer engine bay forearms - scratched to pieces:(
Do you know Kes (studiocommer) ?

A few here are there, no I don't know studiocommer he just offered to put up some pics when I was previously on here because I was unable to at the time.. He not been on here for a while ??

Didn't realise he was a she o_O bit tricky on here sometimes, very friendly anyhow..
No not quite. Found the cause Been a bit busy today took the rad up to a place near Guildford who specialise in re-coring rads.. Will have a look in next day or two..

We tried with the back wheels jacked up first, 20 min later still stuck on, but that has freed it in the past so off my mate went kangeroo-ing up the road and just as it broke off I saw the water come flooding out.. So yes it's off so not an entire waste of a rad!! The annoying thing is I was off to the bodyshop with two front door skins kindly supplied by mr m so there gonna have to wait till next week now..

I have just checked and my (original) fan blade is set 40mm from the radiator but I suppose you can't check if yours was closer now your rad is out.

From memory that's seems about the same, was enough room to get hand in between to bend the fan blade out the rad.. Will have a measure up when it's back in place..

Got rad back today, what a difference ;)
Cost £130 for shot blast, new 3 row upgraded core, pressure test and double coat of paint..
What a bargain the bloke said it have quite a lot of gunk in it which would of affected performance, well worth doing even if your fan dosn't attack it!! image.jpeg

From a company in Portsmouth where I live, really nice bloke had it fixed in 2 days..
Here's there web page..

Still not found the cause my friend who works on my van hasn't been free all week so gonna be on at him this w/end to have a look before he fits the rad back in..
