Removal of manifolds

How easy is it to remove the inlet and exhaust manifolds (bolted together) with the engine/head and exhaust in situ?

It looks painful but possible. Any tips?

No real issue just rusty and sometimes awkward to get to nuts. Be prepared for skinned knuckles and use plenty of release oil for a few days in advance.

It’s been on and off recently so nit should come off ok. It’s just the manual says to remove head and markers together.

But there something odd about my idle right now. I think I may have a crack/leak somewhere in the system.

As I’ve been taking mine apart lately, due to nutgate, it’s very easy, if you’ve got an SU Just take the carb off first then it’s an easy undo and bolt back on job. You’ll be fine

Is also a shop on eBay called gaskets for classics which will have the gasket for it if you wanted to put new ones on
