Many have - mine is in the engine bay - but that's because there is no engine
Yori's was under the passenger side floor

I would recommend the kit from Ratsport (Commerjules)http://www.ratsport.com/PBSCCatalog.asp?CatID=1594532

Passenger side floor is the usual area, most space for it to go. I've got one to put on shortly and that was the advice from Mr Maltas who sold it to me.

Mines right beside the brake master cyl under the drivers floor. It's not the easiest place to put it but it keeps all the pipes neat and short. Really great improvement to the feel of the pedal, and much better stopping power. One word of caution though, make sure you get a booster designed for drum brakes. One from a hunter (old model) will do it. A VH44 is the one you want
Have a look at the iceman thread and there is a pic or two of the setup.
