Excuse my thickosity, but is the area above the cab a bed. And also where can you get the materials to reline the interior/roof [?]:I.
 
I think above the cab is normally a big locker but it is possible to convert it to a child's bed. You could line the inside with thin ply.

just go fo it & worry about that later :p
old classic car forum have a few classic caravan rebuild threads,but I think they use hardboard,I took hardboard out of The Colonel to see what damage & seal him.There is a mattress & a 12v light in his over cab bit enough room for 1 or 2 kids if you top & tail em [:0]

my pillows blankets & clothes go up there but thinking cupboards for food & pans as there are huge cupboards under my seats that make my lovely big bed :p also thinking of turning my bunk into clothes cupboard ooooooh the choice is yours with a bigger van :D[}:)]:D

Thanks guys, but would a an adult be able to sleep in the over cab bit, as our little one is nearly adult size now (not so little).
 
probably not but you can have a couple of bunks,The Colonel has a lovely big bunk which I could sleep in comfortably :p

It's interesting to see that someone has gone to the trouble to fit a later dash, as well as finish it in an interesting colour
 
I thought it was an early body with the pokey out rear lights chopped off :I not unusual for things to get changed/upgraded over the years as they get broken stop working,don't suppose parts were readily available before internet.still nice van would expect to do a fair bit of work on it.

Sounds like a later Highwayman would suit you better Bob. Two double beds in addition to the over-cab area.

The long bench pulls out into a legthways double and there is a smaller bed ascross the van in front of that, as you can see there is a bunk overhead.
