Anyone got any spares? I need two to get through the MOT, and neither Speedys or Classic Parts have any in stock. Top Dollar paid to anyone who can help :)

Or, does anyone have any other places that may be worth a go?

lol :D it is possible that yours have been converted,the ones I thought about might not actually be commer...but maybe what the guy was going to do but never got round too,,unless any one knows different.as far as we can see, seems to be lever arms,any one??
 
They are lever arm dampers, and no one anywhere seems to have them in stock. Chris, are your second hand ones in MOTable nick? If so I am definately interested. These could be the only things stopping Frodo from getting to the meet.......
 
Managed to get my lever arm shocks reconditioned a few years ago, place that did them is:

Ferrari Piston, Unit 4, Eldonwall Trading Estate, Whitby Road, Bristol BS4 3QQ

Didn't actually speak to this company myself - they were sent there by a shop in Bristol, but the address details were on the packaging when they came back, so should save you a few quid.
 
beaten to it :(, yes they are fitted to lots of old vehicles and are fully rebuildable,you can certainly have a pair of mot able ones if you want as i will convert mine to coilovers [8D]. 5p, i did,nt know they were worth that much [:0]

sent you an email chasbaps?do you want the shocks sending to same address,should arrive tuesday,will need to sign for as they are coming through a courier.hope thats ok?
 
Hi Chris. I have phoned the garage to let them know. Thanks for this, another one off the list. Apparently though they are still waiting for the floor panels to arrive, the weekend is looking less likely :(

Yeah, I think so, although there is the added problem of the Rugby World Cup final, so I need to find a pub nearby with a tv screen!!!
