Rear seating

My CI Motorhome is a four-berth (two over the cab, and two in the dinette), therefore it would be safe to assume that it will carry passengers in the rear, but there's no seatbelts. It's Registered 1980. Am I going to have to fit belts, and if so , where?

Try http://www.lawontheweb.co.uk/seatbelts.htm
Not concise, but basically says that seatbelts need not be fitted in older cars, but children must not be carried in the rear seats, without belts.
Also Nathan 'charlie Commer', is very good on this, as he works at a motorhome dealers ;)

As anyone fitted seat belt/s in the rear of an Auto sleeper and if so how was this done. I'm looking into this so my children are safe in the back.:D;)

This is the best effort we have seen on here, looks very safe.

Well, I guess mine must not need them as its just passed its MOT. We're not likely to carry rear seat passengers; I was just curious.

for the MOT its never a problem, unless you're actually taking them out!

My morris didn't have any seatbelts for a long time (I was a very safe driver!) - even got pulled by the cops once

PC: "you're not wearing a seatbelt"
Me: "there aren't any"
PC: "is that legal?"
Me: "yes"
PC: "on your way then sir"

Have seen some seatbelt mounting points in the back of Bessie and friends with Highwayman had some in same place & they fitted a harness belt for their son. The points are under box seating to sit facing sideways just behind front seats. Have no idea if you will have same mounts in your Motorhome - but will be seeing friends next week and will get some pics of theirs if I can if that helps:)
