rear anchors

hi Studiocommers silent partner here. Just about to fit rear wheel cylinder & found I need a different adjuster. Think I need cam type if anyone has got one please, also a 9 inch brake drum for other side, its well grooved & adjuster goes over cam even with virtually new shoes or could cam be worn? Think ill stick to jukeboxes:)
thanks Glyn

Hi Glyn, the cam should have little notches in the curved surface to hold it in place, unless there is a piece broken off the adjuster I doubt whether it would wear to that extent. More likely to be a worn drum but what was it like before? are the new shoes at fault. Check the fixed anchor point opposite the adjuster - you never know that might be worn.
Good luck, sorry my humble spares stock doesn't include the bits you need.

yes I seem to recall it's possible to fit the cam backwards. You need the springs in the right slots too. Blasted things they are...

I like this arrangement - I borrow Glyns car to get to work while he gets bored and starts tinkering with Bessies troubles - mmmm, good system :D:D:D

Will get some pics of brake assembly soon as poss to hopefully show problem - thanks for replies:).

Brake drum been needed for a little while so will be great if you have one Martin, and will know more once photos sorted
