Can anybody on this forum tell me where the time has gone, it only seems like yesterday when it was New Years Eve and now we are half way through January. I know they say that the older you get the faster time goes but this is ridiculous.
Another of those old sayings is that you know your getting old when the police and doctors start to look very young.Personally I think that some of them haven't left school yet so what are they doing as doctors.

I'm a policeman (of sorts!) and I realised a few years ago that I must be a old git when I noticed that many of the new recruits I was encountering weren't even born when I joined.

My doctor is about the same age as me and the last time I saw him I thought he was looking a bit old!

My youngest son used to be a special constable and often had to check people's age at outdoor events which permitted drinking. On one occasion, he asked someone for their ID and they said 'I can't be much younger than you'. Having checked their ID he replied ' actually, you are four years older than me!'

Well it looks like I'm not the only grumpy old git in January and February, these two months should be abolished. Let's have a bit of nice sunshine so that I can get arrested.[^][^]

Well they have to have somewhere for all the illegal immigrants to live, but then they'll have to build more for the immigrants that the EU say have to live here.

Never met an illegal immigrant myself - all the immigrants I have met pay their fair share of taxes which reduces the burden for us all.

I think the UK would be less scared of EU immigration if anyone could be arsed to learn a foreign language and realise that they could work anywhere they like in the EU, but no, we're lazy and we moan that they are all coming over here.

Here here...the UK have been taking over the world with immigration for years but cause we're the UK and 'better than everyone' that doesn't count. When it flips the other way round the Daily Mail readers are up in arms...if Diana was an immigrant it'd all be different :)

I must be a very, very clever person then as I can speak the languages of England - America - Australia - New Zealand - Canada - Gibralter, just to mention a few, "who's a clever boy then":I;):D
 
None of which are in the EU, all of which you would require a visa
