Rant about commer hunting

ok here goes, i spent nearly 12 months looking for a commer camper for around £600-£700 as a project[|)]. i sat on my computer all night every night. i read every paper and classic mag. i evan spent 4 weeks riding my bike all around my area covering every road and farm within 20 miles of my house:(. every time i found one it either sold for to much or someone beat me to it[:(!]

then one day i spotted a sherpa highwayman, "ok" i thought. i can do that up as a practice run, then sell it to buy a commer;) ended up with a good project sherpa. but was a bit dissapointed as i want a commer.

since i got it, i have seen at least 6 commers sell for less than £700 each and every one better than the ones i found when i was looking.

The moral of the rant...

DONT bother looking for a commer. when you look for one they seem to all vanish off the face of the earth. look for something else. and i promise you will end up with a commer lol:Dlol:D

i have now decided since i have the sherpa, and only a small drive ill save a few quid and buy a commer. then sell the sherpa to pay for the work.

[8D]you cant keep a commer lover down[8D]

sorry for the rant but sometimes you just gotta lol

Good luck with the search for a great van Paul ;)[8D][^]

I think that's generally known as sod's law; principle which my life routinely operates by (not always though ;))

I was looking the other way last week and six went past:I

And relax

not gonna give up til i have one, but may take a year or so, in the mean time my baby is 4 months old, so i am debating spending a year or so on making him a small scale commer say 4-5 foot long with a 125cc or 250cc moped engine, would be good laugh to see him at commerfest in it in a couple of years

Oh good, groupies, just what I need! :Dquote:
