cheers dozer :), got a shed full of amal spares already, i guess it goes with 20+ years of brit bike ownership [:0].
thought the carbs would come in useful sometime, carb per cylinder is the best way to get max economy and throttle response, although it does clip the max power.means you can tune each cylinder individually, eliminates all mixture distribution/biasing problems and gives a straight port [8D],just need to turn up some extension tubes to weld on and find some small k&n,s.
hardest part is going to be making a linkage for the throttles :(
and hoping there is enough room to get them in [:0]

wot they going on ? have you tried the m&p catalogue 4 filters if they don't sell it 4 a bike it don't exist .. weird i love brit cars but not really had time 4 brit bikes ?? reliability i think as i like to do a lot of miles .

have,nt had a good look yet, i have a old k&n catalouge ,when i can find it :I
they are for chris,s RAN on the holbay motor :p
yep reliability was always a problem [xx(] although now with modern ignitions etc they can be very reliable [^]

oh if the carbs r good it will work :D no more scavenging for fuel or each port trying to drag enough from the inlet over to its self.. it will have a direct supply :Dshould rev much freer .. dont wanna teach granny to suck eggs racer as i no you no this if you r gonna go 4 k&ns change the jets to suit ,other wise you will have a nasty flat spot on acceleration the amount of people that come down the yard to see my m8 cussing coz they've spent a small fortune on go faster crap ,complaining it dont work .. but havent tried to balance anything or read the instructions .. got more air NEED more fuel .. obviously none of thats 4 you tim .. but any one else fitting after market filters if you introduce a freer flowing filter it will drown out the existing fuel supply ..tim theres a chap in the reliant owners club with a fiat 127 lump in his robin & thats got a set of gs850 carbs on it ,it goes like stink

cheers dozer, know what you mean, its the people that remove their silencer then complain "its gone flat cause its got no backpressure"
that need educating [:0]
typically i sold a massive box of amal jets last year [B)]
i keep looking at the head thinking it would be fairly easy to raise the port up by angle milling and welding tubes straight to it to give some downdraught :p
