Quarter light rubber

I've just fitted one of Martins new windscreen seals, it was easy and it looks a treat, the only problem is it shows up the rest of the glass rubber for what it is, knackered!

The seals for the wind downs were sourced from a breakers, off of a Citroen van as I recall, but the quarter lights are a different matter, I've thought of just sealing them up with black polyurethane sealant (I never open them anyway) can anyone suggest an alternative before I reach for the mastic gun?

Sorry to reply to your question with a question but do know how to remove these perchance? I've got the door off and I can mostly pull the rubber off but can't figure out how to get the hinges for the glass off.

"You were only supposed to blow the bloody tyres up!"

You need to remove the complete quarter-light by taking out the three screws securing it to the frame and gently easing the assembly out of the frame. The seal is moulded to fit into the front of the channel on the main door glass so be careful not to damage it when you pull it out.
