Purple and Pink!

I had an auto Sierra, it was only a 1.6 but it was pretty brisk away from the lights - but soon ran out of steam, the official fuel consumption figures for the urban cycle where actually a bit better than the manual. I remember reading a write up on an auto Mini, the fuel consumption was awful and the gearbox (four speed) was described as 'Hilarious' :I
I kinda like the way the auto gear change sticks out of the dash on a Commer :)

Bringing back memories now, Mini auto box, still amazed to this day that they actually worked, bolted to the bottom of the engine block and shared oil from the engine to lubricate it, bloody things were a nightmare, lol.

Plenty of folk around for help and advice. Were just up the road from Lancealot and Jon&Cara. Plus, we are just off the A1 so if you get stuck between Peterborough and Grantham, i can offer coffee and sympathy, but like Jon said, not the REALLY helpfull bit and getting your van mended! That said, there are 2 VERY good garages in my village;-)

Just get it and worry about the minor details later HAHAHAHAHA!

Looks like it, same thing happened with my Escort Mexico, picked it up for peanuts years back :D Now, Jesus I could never afford to pay out the prices people want, but suppose I have a nest egg. Parts can be a nightmare though.

Wanted a cheeky Camper for weekend trips with the Family, but not any old toot, got to have character, Commer it is then.
Trip to the old Bank manager I think, shhhhhh don't tell my wife ;). Just got to get the money into my account, then out and spent on a fairly decent Commer before she notices. lol.
i'll take a beating for abit, but i'm sure she will come round after the first weekend away :)

Lol, Mad, thats how bad it has got, people bid 100s of pounds just to have a log book and chassis number from the escort RS2000 and Mexico's, have a spare shell and transfer it all over.
