No.1 tax exempt,if you go to www.commervanfan.co.uk then vans commerchris no.1 I have no choice but to part company financially and because of the council :( :( I really wanted this one back on the road & still do....as you know I put Ran up on ebay but couldn't bear to part with her [}:)]So any interest before I ebay her welcome not sure what to ask for her so make an me a decent offer she probably needs one of every available panel from woolfy she has woodworm too but think the interior can be saved not for the faint hearted.[xx(]never tried to start the engine, petrol tank apparently has been taken off & mended by the previous owner. not for the faint hearted.I might be prepared to break her if enough interest [V]

Delighted you are keeping Ran and gutted if you have to shift No1 because of your lousy neighbour - have you considered listing lady in question on ebay? could solve a lot of problems if you listed her as a weapon of mass depression[}:)]

If you do end up having to part with No1 you have my sympathies - had to break Martha myself[V] only consolation was that she went on to look after Bessies' needs. Still miss the old girl though - amazing the effect some bits of metal with tyres on can have sometimes.

Good luck, sure there will be someone out there that can give her the home she deserves - she's definitely too interesting to break.:)

Tell the neighbour where to go who do they think they are telling you what to do and what you can and cant have. Neighbour this is for you GO AND DO ONE!!!! [^]:p

It is only a case of asking the councils permission to keep campers at the house, probably so they can say to the neighbour yes we know miss brown has campers up yours go away (how's that for positive thinking)just hope nice neighbours move in [^]

It seems an unfair world really, when folk seem hell bent on complaining about each other. Its hardly true to call anyplace a community when folk are at each others throats for 'simple' reasons. When we think of the word community it brings to mind the ideal that each person, every family working together to create harmony and provide for each other.
I doubt there are many places which truly are such a community, and could be called one.
I have had some problems with my van being here at my sisters..
They are lucky i havent got an old Bedford bus out there, damn lucky...

:D

I have written the letter at last kept short & sweet to the point please can I have written permission etc etc..they are only asking me to do this so they can say no now get them moved :(if I can't keep Ran at home I can stay 28 day's on council property else where before I have to move :D

Ran is taxed and tested so you are allowed to park her anywhere you want on a public road within normal parking restrictions (you know - not in the middle of the motorway or your neighbours garden etc) - so no reason not to be allowed to keep her - can't see a problem with keeping No1 if you she was down as a spares vehicle for Ran but good luck with the council on that one.

Would be happy to put my name down on a petition stating that No 1 is an important vehicle of historic interest that is in the care of a competent commer expert if this will sway things:)

Hi Sorry to say that Councils all over the country are useing Section 215, To make people clear up their OWN Land/house/garden, Its a VERY flexible law they can impose fines for each day you dont comply, This is if its Private OR Council, And its being used more and more

ok ok thats enough of that talk, all that council and government dictatorship crap makes my blood boil and my sh*t itch scuse my french, not a big fan of the powers that be that see sumone smile so put a stop on whatever made them smile or a hefty tax to reduce the smile. all we want to do is live!!!! so the next camp over meets at your joint then chris[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]ggggrrrrr rant over

I didnt tell you to upset anyone, But thought people would like to know what can be done even if its all yours, I know a friend it happend to

GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RANT NOT OVER what is wrong with this country why do we let them walk over us like this, whether youve bought your house or not it is your home and within reason you should be allowed to do as you wish, i would understand if she was running brothel or drug den or bomb making factory but its a bloody campervan.......step away from the link and go and watch american chopper, wooosah (for the badboys film fans out there)[xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]

i was i was[V] wat happened is this wat messing with commer suspension turns you into, my god im a monster[:(!][:(!], i think i need anger management courses:D:D

Don't tell Charlie Commer, but I'm a local authority planner.:I However, I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment if the council is using Section 215 to move No.1. It looks to me like a misuse of this legislation and should be challenged. We have never used Section 215 against a private individual, it is intended for sites where failure to take action would result serious detriment to public amenity i.e. derelict industrial sites. As long as you are keeping it for your own use and enjoyment, you are not breaking any planning rules. It may be that the council is using this as a bluff to get you to move No.1 to get the neighbour off their backs.[:(!]
No.1 looks to be in similar condition to the 1972 Renault 17 I have sitting in my drive - a brave restoration, but too good to break. Fortunately my neighbours take an interest in my hobby, otherwise I might be forced to serve a Section 215 on myself![}:)]
Seriously though, if I can be of any assistance, let me know.:)

ok back from watching american chopper much calmer and ready to appologise for the above behaviour and tell you all that im looking fondly toward commer No1 and just theoretically what would you want for the old gal?;)
