I thought I best keep this thread going.
I am now the new owner of GYE 44W the Postal engineering van.
I bought it last month and sins then been fixing it every night,
Lol. Managed about 300 miles in her now, the latest thing to go
wrong is now she does not want to go into reverse, every time you
pull over to it, it just selects 4th. Rather irritating when you’re
in a parking space nose against the wall.


If anyone has any pic’s of the van please send them my way, would
love to add them to its history file.

one of my mates is a sign writer so I popped over his place and ran them off with him.
"Perkins under powered", That would make a great sticker. I was trying to find witty things to have printed.

Dan, how comes you fuel sender is on the rear of the tank? was they all there originally? I thought they was on top like mine?

In your 4th pic the offset between the diff and gearbox is very noticeable....good pic;)

No, all my vans are on the rear. This is the 3rd sender sins I have had the post van, First one didn't work, second leaked (that is why the tank looks wet) this one seems to be ok. :)
