Possible seatbelt source

I can't remember the thread but someone manufactured rear seatbelt mounts using the framework from a van seat.
I saw the attached on ebay which has three van seat with seatbelt mounting intergral to the frame so they can be cut to fit the forward facing seat configuration.

i'm in the middle of moving so can't take on any project like this but looking at the buy it now price it looks a cheap deal.

I live in Southampton so could pick up and store for a few weeks if need be.

that was me that was! and that was exactly what I did. I used ford transit minubus seats and separated them, modified the framework to mount them to the floor and removed the foam padding.

Those seats are a damn sight cheaper than he ones I used - and there are 3! someone grab them!

there is some random babbling about it here:

conincidently - huw just asked me at the weekend if i could do a post re seatbelts? we are looking to change the ones in the front to the retractable type - i am sure huw told me the type but i have now forgotten but i am sure you know what i mean. The word inertia (although i do not know how to spell it:I) is hazily coming to mind[?]

we currently have 2 seats with the original seatbelts but for safety - (esp for sam) we would like some which the stays intact when you pull it - i don't know us fussy mothers:) we also have nothing in the middle i suppose that would need to be a lap belt.

has anyone changed their front seatbelts? i think i was supposed to ask something about fittings[?][?]
