Perhaps I can give you the child's perspective. As a child, I was one of three children and we would all go on holiday in our Commer in the late 1960's for four weeks at a time or more (both parents being teachers). Our van was a Wanderer with 5 beds, but the space was the same. As we grew bigger, we children transferred to a tent, but as a family living in such confines we learnt to get along and although we are now scattered around the country we remain close. We got to see places we would never otherwise see (including places where we broke down). They are memories I will always treasure and are the prime reason I joined this forum.
So there you go, you owe it to your children to keep Wilma.
How right you are, Renaultvation!
These childhood memories from car-holiday with mum and dad and brothers/sisters were priceless. We didn't have a Commer (had an 1969 Opel Kadett and a funky brown and orange family tent) but the principle is still the same. True family values which often are forgotten today, I think. All the more important that the Commerunity keeps up the tradition
