portable generator

When I get Lulu I am thinking of getting a portable generator for when I am camping rough or on a site with no power points. Does anyone know anything about these please and any recommendations. I do know that you can get some that are supposed to be silent [just looked them up] but except for that I don't have the foggiest idea about them.
 
p.s. forgot to say that I ran a search on here because I thought that there would be some comments about them but the search came back with zero

yes, we use a small 900w genny to keep the beers cold in the fridge.but we have now got the fridge all plumbed in proper running of gas.but will still need it for the music :Dbut once i figure out the inverter and leisure battery it will be redundent[8D]

to be honest les, what you don't want to do is buy one like the one I sold Admin.....complete rubbish which is why I sold it to him :D:D[}:)]:D:D

Get a quiet running genny. And make sure you've got a spare can of petrol (or diesel if you get a diesel genny).

Size wise depends on what you're planning to run, but err on the side of getting one slightly more powerful if you're not sure.
