Well, I've known this was coming for about a year now and have been putting off the reality of having to sell Pootle for that time but i can't bury my head in the sand for any longer.
Joyful as the arrival of our son was, he has really stretched our finances and as the only thing of value that i own, Pootle will be going up for sale in the very near future.
I wanted to put it on here first in the hope that someone from the forum is interested so that i know she has gone to a good home before i put her up for sale on the dreaded Ebay!
Hopefully below is a link that leads to the thread in readers rides, if not then search for "Pootle" in the subject only box.

Some of the information and photos in the thread are a bit old but she hasn't changed much. We've fitted a remote servo to improve braking and she has been very well maintained. She has MOT till the end of August but i'll put a new one on this week. I believe she'll need new tyres for this which i'll also get sorted. I'll also take some more detailed photos and post them, hopefully by next weekend although i am tied up by a family wedding, so please bear with me.
She's a very well equiped van.
She has three seats in the cab and the two bench seats in the back which make up the double bed.
There's a fridge that runs off gas, and a gas hob, grill and oven.
Original Portapotti, and shower that runs off 12 or 240 volts! Also a fold down sink in the toilet cubicle.
Airbag suspension on the back.
There's a sink and draining area with manual and electric water pump fed by on board jerry cans, full length wardrobe and loads of storage.
She comes with three awnings - one is on the side - a Fiamma roll out awning. Two driveaway ones that go on the back - one which we've used and is in excellent condition with matching curtains, and another untested 1970's one.
She has an electric hook up although the lights, shower etc run off 12v if needed. and a couple of sockets in the back and one in the cab.
Two sets of chrome hubcaps, jack, wooden wheel levelers.
I've got the full service history since the bill of sale and the guy who sold her to me gave me a box of trophys that he won with her that will go with her.
She's not concours, but she is in lovely condition on the inside, the outside and underneath, starts on the button and is a joy to drive. Mechanically, there are no problems that i know of.
I'm sure there's lots that i've forgotten to say, but will have a proper think and add to this thread as and when it comes to me.
I've been given a price that she is worth by a couple of people who know Commers, which if she goes on Ebay is what she'll be priced at. If anyone wants to make an offer that comes out near it, please let me know. I'll check this thread for replies or drop me an email through this forum. If you do email and you don't get a reply within 48 hrs, put a message on this thread and i'll get back to you!
Cheers, form a very sad Matt!!!!
