hi all,had our first breakdown at the wkend[:0] got a lift with a very nice AA man.any way it coughed and spluttered to a halt,so thought it might the dreaded snake skin or the coil. so ordered a coil from speedys put it on tonight and fired up straight away yeeeha:Dmy problem is i want to change the points got both sets for a pb from speedys and they wont fit.the ones in the van now, come in two parts the two sets i got are all in one.would i have a different dizzy to the normal pb.
 
2 dizzies fitted, 25D and 45D. I have both types in stock, but both are one piece [?]

They fitted a Ducellier dizzy as well:I

hi,dont want to change the dizzy just the points.the ones i have are in two pieces with a black wire attached to one part and a block of rubber half way down the wire which slides into the side of the dizzy. and a green wire out the other end which goes to the condenser that screws to the side of the dizzy.does that make sense[?]
 
hi martin,been looking on the net and it looks like all the bits i need are for a hillman hunter 1500cc /1725cc.dizzy cap,points and condenser all look the same.only thing i cant find is the rotor arm.?
 
go for electric points - more expensive, but well worthwhile!
