Ply floor base

So I’m going to put some 9mm ply on floor as it only had hardboard and carpet. A good idea? Should it have some foam/rubber under it for sound deadening? Self tapping screws to fix it down?
This is all because of fitting furniture mechanically to floor. As it’s only 9mm I was thinking of bonding some 2x1 to ply to screw it to.
Have I blown it all out of proportion? Was the original furniture just screwed into the metal floor? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I used 10mm exterior ply direct to the metal floor and fixed it down with self tappers, no insulation underneath. The furniture in the Auto-Sleeper is screwed directly to it (original flooring was vinyl covered chip board that turned to Weatabix when it got wet ) I found it was easily thick enough to secure the furniture and it's been down over ten years now.

So thats why mine has 3/4" OSB board under the furniture then.
Mind you, 9mm would have saved some weight.

The reason I’m thinking 9mm. I reckon the ply for furniture excluding rear seats (not worked that out yet) will weigh about 60kg in 15mm lightweight ply

Mine was just 1/2" ply held down by gravity.

I used vinyl off the role first time round. I've since put down vinyl tiles, looks good and very tough.
