for some reason i can not see some of the photos which have been posted instead i get a little box with a red x[?]

prob due to my computer illiteracy - my knowledge stops after trying double click:I

That has happened to me occasionally - usually when the pics have been posted using sites other than photobucket. Are the any in particular you are having trouble with?

can't now think which ones they were. sometimes have the odd ones but last few posts i have tried to read have been quite a few.

is there anything i can do to view them or do i just accept if they are done that way i can not view?

hi Jules, I don't usually have any problem with Photobucket

I sometimes get mixed up with the picture and web link buttons. You can also check that the tags are ok when you write the message

the tags should look like this (less /'s though!):
"/[img/]" the web address of the image file goes here... "/[/img/]"

It does seem odd, have you had any problems with the pics fron the Cambs meet?

some older posts pic's dissapear when people delete pic's in their photo bucket/flickr etc....newer ones should be ok try using internet explorer...could just be a maintanance thing too :)

have been looking back through trying to find where the pics were i was looking for a know there were a few somewhere[}:)]

one place i have found just as an example was in for sale section - http://66.129.69.181/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3169 early slyder - panky you had posted a few pics but all i get is boxes with the red x. it has happened in the past but this was a new post.
 
I do get days of red x - found it more helpful in the petrol tank though :I normally seems to rectify itself - just wondering if something about your settings has taken a dislike to some of the photo hosters? more in depth than that I cannot go:( - have you tried a different browser?

a different browser? you have lost me there!! the prob may be because this is a work computer. i know something must have been changed because we could not get you tube then for a short time we could, but lost it again a couple of weeks ago. so maybe they (being work) have changed something again and thats why i am getting more of the dreaded red x's. unfortunately as its work computer should not really be using it for personal stuff anyway so will just keep fingers crossed that its not too many pics it happens too. have had it in the past just seemed to be quite a few lately.

work pooter sounds like it could be the reason - have friends who have work networks that can't get the photobuckets & facebooks out there - just hope they don't ban access to the forum [:0][:0][:0]

yes, sounds like they've put a block on your work computer - sites such as 'Photobucket' are often classed as leisure sites, so they prevent access apparently...

dam work - it makes you almost think they don't want us spending our time on the internet;)at least now i know it is not just me being rubbish on the computer!

we are hoping santa will be kind this year and bring us one of our very own :D
