Anyone having problems with their account being non-accessible and PB demanding money to allow you access? Not only frozen out of you account but all the links have been cut so any post containing PB links have had the pics deleted and replaced with a message telling you to upgrade. I'm not affected at the moment but there are loads on the Mini Forum who are, seems to be those who use a mobile app to access the site who have been hit.
Just opened an Imgur account - much better than PB.

They're moaning about this over on the dark side too. In common with almost every aspect of the web, things that used to be free will slowly but surely be charged for.
Fortunately it doesn't affect me as I have my own website where I can host my own images and keep my own email addresses through changes of ISPs. In fact I can thoroughly recommend renting a small space on the web for your own stuff, at least you have total control and retain copyright etc, and you could share the space with family. Costs me about £100 a year for a proper website. Imgur and Postimg steal your images without compensation, sell them to anyone they like, and you're quite likely to find them used innapropriately elsewhere. (Read their terms carefully)

I'm in the process of transferring all my pics from PB to Imgur. 2000 down about another 1500 to go.

I don't use Photobucket or any online image hosting (bar my own domain host) but just recently whilst looking for vans and following links to pics and albums etc. I have noticed that Photobucket is an absolute car crash of a site ... its like its been hacked for spam adverts that you can't get rid of. If they must have them at least design it so it doesn't appear like your polluter has got a virus.

Can't even see the photos on the site for junk moving around the screen.

All the pics I posted on here using links from Photobucket (literally 1000's) have now gone and I dont fancy paying $499 to get them back:mad:

It's the same all over the web ... most old threads on forums I find (and I'm looking at a lot at the moment) are now ruined as the photos can't be seen any more. They broke tinterweb :(

Sounds like advertising wasn't paying the bills and it's a last minute cash grab/ransom to keep the servers on. I won't be a surprise if they reverse it after the buy ins die down to make it look like they are listening to their clients and should be praised.

I hope so but I'll be uploading direct from my PC in future - and Imgur if I cant upload direct.

I just uploaded a pic of my V8 van from the weekend. It had an "incident".
