I only see them if I check my email account. On other forums I'm on there's a pop up that tells you someone has sent a PM when you're on the forum.

The message only sends an email. I can't change anyone's email address though Colin; unfortunately that needs a new account a couple of people have asked in the past but I think it requires hacking the database
