Ha ha our halfords doesn't stock ht leads any more[[:(!] I had just gone and sorted through the boxes till I found one with the right connections before. As it wasn't Sunday this time went to a motor factors but not as easy as I thought[}:)]. I checked the forum before I went and funnily enough one of your posts popped up that said mini ones fitted so tried that even though they were 'L' shaped ends. Motor factors no use as you say they just asked for the redge and that didn't help:D they fit a treat with a bit of ' crimping'

Quick trip out to see how the family car collection coming on..................the jag is in earlier posts,:p grandad really has the classic car bug :) Commer couldn't get in to say hi[V]

12 more months on the road and no advisories , result does anyone know why most of the pics on the thread have disappeared....? just got to come up with a bed solution for child number 2 now and get in some camping.

Excellent:cool:
Pics probably went awal when everything (almost) was transferred over from the old forum site. Same thing happened on my Back of the Garage thread - spent hours re-loading them and still not quite there.

I'm confused now cus looking at the picture Percy has the side light and indicator light next to the headlight is that pa or pb

It does get confusing, the PA was introduced in 1965 and the range had the 1725 engine, lozenge shaped grille and indicators and side lights, the hand brake was still on the rear wheels. The PB came in 1967 and had an alternator as standard and the handbrake on the front. Models before the PA where designated as Series I, II, IIA, and III FC (Forward Control). Some early PA's had a single side light/indicator on the front.

What Panky said the van was originally the smaller engine with auto box but changed at some point in past. It is 1966 so later pa.

The only reason I'm asking is according to my chassis number mine is a pa and as it was built 67 it could well be. The handbrake is on the rear but it has the two lights by the headlight. I was beginning to think that it was a pa/pb change over parts bin special. My heads going dizzy now trying to work it out:confused::D

It could well be, the change over came late in '67 so there was probably a period when they just used what they had.

Our 1967 Wanderer must have been one of the first PBs as it had the handbrake on the front wheels. It caused a fair bit of confusion for garages when the van was new as Commers were quite common then, but had always had the handbrake at the rear, so that is where the mechanics expected to find it.
