Thought I'd check how much it's going to cost to add Peggy to my other Rootes cars' insurance. Currently paying £96/yr with Peter James for 2 Imps and a Singer Vogue, all unlimited miles, agreed value and Euro breakdown cover. I did a quick on-line quote with them and it looks like Peggy will cost another £10 or so to add to the policy. I'll call them tomorrow.
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?
I'M GETTING A HIGHWAYMAN !!!
I can only accommodate Peggy at my new house because my son's Imp will stay in the lock-up for now, certainly no room for a second Commer! Although I'd like a non-coachbuilt one some time in the future...................maybe.....................

Unfortunately the traler can only take one! (It did cross my mind as it would probably sell very easily down here - but then I'd probably nick the doors etc off it for Peggy before selling it on).

Well, the big day is nearly upon me! Tomorrow friend Andy and I set off in the early evening to Bonnie Scotland to collect Peggy.
It will be with some trepidation that we set off as our route includes an overnight stop tomorrow evening in Carlisle where the weather has been absolutely terrible and more is forecast. Early Sunday morning we continue to Scotland and Tayport. We will then have a very long run back down to Watford on Sunday afternoon/evening.
Andy is bringing his laptop and said we may be 'blogging' en route. I said that I thought that happened in car parks at night but apparently that's something else?
Anyway, camera will be deployed at various times as well. I'll be busy tomorrow so probably won't be back on here before we return (other than the aforementioned 'blogging'.
Wish us luck!

All the the best with your collection,Baz.I hope that the weather is kind to you. I don't envy you the journey, going to Stirling for Imp'06 in the IMP was enough for me
I think there would be plenty of assistance (hopefully not required)if you are thinking of using the A1
Best wishes
