The paintwork on Colin is very jaded. My huuby Colin is hoping to renew for me. Any thoughts welcome on what paint/primer/etc to use. Jax[?]

hang on... you're getting your husband resprayed?!?
There were a few vans in 2 pack at Martins at the weekend and they looked superb (especially Gladys!) pretty nasty health wise but a really good finish straight from the gun.

2 packs the way to go!!!
2 pack etch,2pack high build then 2pack top coat,if youre doing it base and clear i can still get solvent base coat matched to whatever colour you want,or i can get you water based.
You could do it in old fashioned celly but...well it sharnt be as good,and is more likely to fade over time and can bloom a little if the airs a little damp when applied.
If you need some prices let me know and i will get you some.

Cellulose is really out there with crossplies. Only use if you are very very up for originality.
But you really need an oven and breathing apparatus for 2k, Water-bourne is getting more popular, for which you also need an oven but not breathing gear, its also a little trickier to master.

Before you go down the route of a respray, try a bit of paint restorer and a polish. You may be pleasantly surprised
