P P P Picked up a Pick up

Hello all, I've been a big fan of the Commer/Dodge vans for many years. Occasionally scanning eBay wondering if the "right one" would ever arrive.
Spotted this locally, transpires it a bloke I know from the pub selling it.
Deal struck, delivery done, now to get to work.

She's pretty straight, a runner and oozing charm.

Hi Desmos and welcome to the Madhouse:D
Only spotted this on eBay yesterday and was impressed, looks like you beat a lot of people to the post;) even though the auction is still running:eek:
A very nice truck, keep us up to date with you plans and progress

Thank you guys.
She's a bit of a blank canvas. Originally had a big refrigerated unit on the back.
The chap I got it from removed that, had some side panels, and a tailgate made up. All done very well, including the marine ply floor.
All quite solid underneath, I'll pop it up on the ramp for a proper looky when I get time.

Plan is sort the brakes, a good service, clean, mot, then decide what to do.
She's almost too nice to do anything with, but keep thinking slightly banded rear steels and leave at that.

And maybe a set of Martin Maltas' lowering springs;)
He's done a very good job, fooled me - not difficult:rolleyes:

So the fun begins. Had a quick look underneath.
Going to have to shake the pig:
Filler neck rubbers perished.
Tank rather scabby
Brake pipes
Master cylinder
Handbrake cable

That'll at least get the ball rolling. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to shop?

I'd recommend a new tank from Commeracer (Tim) ..I'd imagine Martin Maltas could help with the rest :)

Nice pick up by the way, looks great..

So after seeing what was needed I decided to cheer the front end up a bit by painting the front grills.
Not perfect but passes the three foot rule.
Front bumper is a little bent, will attempt to re align, but if no joy (and if I can't sort a replacement I'll remove)
