Overdrive 6RA 31199 Relay Modern Alternative

Oooo, that's a bit below the belt - mind you, I did have him stuffed.

As an aside, I also did the van for the naked gardener that is sadly no longer with us (Les, I think?). What happened to that van - I put the loom in when the van was still in bits and just painted?
It went to a lady who had the interior fitted out professionally and very nice it was too. She was into her vintage cars as well so went to a good home.

Well, more good news. Before I sold my last Commer in around 2013, I had been preparing a super-duper wiring loom for him (anyone seen him?) I bought a really fancy modular fuse and relay box and pre-wired it. However, I never got around to making the loom. and so that box has been sitting in my wiring boxes for 10 years, somewhat unfinished, although most of the underside wiring is done.

However, rummaging around in my box of pattern looms (mainly different imp variants, but my first commer loom is still there), I came across this:

Although I didn't remember that I had done this, I had already prewired up an overdrive for the van - with a slightly different wiring than the diagram I started this thread with - it uses a standard on off relay instead of on/off type that I put in the diagram. I now vaguely remember testing it so I know it works. So, at least I have an overdrive loom to copy for my customer.
