Out and About

Well it was a fun trip. Now I have to sort out the barely a problem water leak. I also wonder if the heater matrix cools the engine better than the radiator?? Water does look quite rusty in rad cap. And I lied on another thread as actually did nearly 80 miles on 1/2 a tank. Hurray!! Lol
In this weather been driving with the heater on on long runs! Down in Suffolk atm. Had a motor bike rad arrived to strap to the front to take the edge off :) combined with flipping the scoop it’ll be perfect

And the most expensive pub on the planet. Over £5 a pint which took 20mins and wasn’t the cider we ordered. Sneaky 10% discretionary charge and everything was chargeable. Mayo £1.60. Won’t go back.
Bearslake Inn, Oakhampton. Oh and we weren’t allowed to sit on the lawn tables so we had to move and sit on the patio to eat.

I was toying with the idea of that as I have a bike rad and fan, unfortunately not from the same bike so would need Heath Robinson fitting. Hope you have a good time.

I will give that a go next weekend as going camping again this weekend and won’t have time to fix anything major if I blow a hole in rad etc. Will need to sort it by end of August as going to Cornwall then.

Last weekend trip. Lovely field campsite in Thurlstone. Compost toilets. Showers and washing up on coin meters. As normal it blew a hoolie. Put up a makeshift awning with a tarp which made a hell of a noise so took it down at 2am. I really ought to make a proper waterproof, quite awning. Maybe a decent little gazebo to go over doors. Anyway weather improved and had a great time. Even saw some glow worms.

Lovely pub with lovely walks. I gather it changed hands within a few years unfortunately as you’re correct it was a pub worth going to.

Down near Tintagel for a long weekend. Windy but dry so loving it. A chap I was talking to had just seen another Commer bumbling about near Padstow, yellow with rat look rust spots, anybody on here?

Sorry lol I was wondering if the owner of the yellow Commer was on cvf lol as the chap saw 2 Commers in the space of an hour and there’s no classic car show down here.

We're spending a couple of days on Anglesey with the sister in law. Lovely little site with only five motorhome/caravan pitches and a few tent pitches in another field. It's only half a mile from Valley so the jets are interesting on occasion but it's a nice place to be. Very starry last night and we saw the ISS pass overhead and a spectacular meteor flash past.
