Out and About

just caught a glimpse of what looked like a commer highwayman on the m1 or a14 not sure as i had just taken my eye off the map!light blue white, any one?

but i definately saw this http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic/e670pXZl6MGsLzi0CP1E*9rst9q7sphfDT-Zv4xQp5Fd3Ig=_l.jpg

Wow, want want of those!
Have had some commer sightings here in west wales but none this year.
Have strong surfing community so VWs by the dozen - had one lot in a mint green 'c' reg PB camper a few years ago that had taken it down to the south coast of France - and found that their petrol tank was too small to get them between petrol stations.
Also met the owner of a highwayman in Fishguard who was preparing for a similar run but going on through to Portugal - brave man.
Otherwise it is pretty quiet over here - mine is doing its' bit to keep a presence in the area but hoping to re-stock population as have people asking where they can buy one.

four star commerdation

I got asked today if theres one going [?]never know how serious people are when they ask [?]some more pic's added http://aolpictures.aol.co.uk/galleries/ccybermum/ i just love that gypsy caravan the horse was tethered on the other side of the road,i tried to get another pic,got told off 'cos i was navigating [}:)]

Yup - sure is a great caravan - at least you weren't driving when taking pictures - tried it - not ideal:I

Have a couple of out and about commers from croeslan show last august - coffee cream one is from swansea area that was part of classic camping display with bessie behind and the motorhome was in public car park.

Also remembered lovely local old boy with really original and loved commer walk-thru. He comes to a lot of the local shows and is always threatening to sell it but can't seem to part with it - don't blame him.

Had a wonderful drive over the Preseli mountains today - followed the aforementioned walk-thru for miles - happily sat in the car doing 35-40 mph following him as van climbed up the mountain - everyone else overtaking us both:I looked immaculate as ever in its' red livery and still owned by same lovely old fella so obviously hasn't been able to part with it yet.
Might keep my eyes open for a replacement petrol cap for him as spare one from my PB wrong size - van so good deserves a finishing touch.:)

Hi Studio,do you have any more pic' of it? sounds like a nice day out :)does the croeslan show have a mention on any websites or do you have to phone up?

found pic of Mansels' van at scolton show as seen on Pembrokeshire Classic car club site. Mansel is shadowy figure sitting in the cab:)

sounds possible, are they lockable with key included? sorry if this is a daft question - not sure what walk-thru would have had.[:I

ahh, might have to check with Mansel if I see him then - I know he said he lost his because he hadn't locked it - I know mine is loose unless I lock it in place[V]
Probably won't see him until last August bank holiday - if you have a pic available then I'll try and remember to take one to show him first.[:X]
