Hi scott and bex, liking the new van, and the sink's ...erm.....ok ;) , just gone through the whole thread and read about the futon frame bed, we've got an old frame lying unused in the garage and I said to claire a few days ago now theres an idea! (great minds think alike eh!) wheres the pics then? whats the results like?
By the way, send duke to devon , we'll adopt if he's surplus to requirements!!
 
Alright Scott.

Well we didn't end up using the Futon idea in the end(Although i still think it's a great idea) our back seat pulls down flat and forms kind of a camp bed so to speak. I added a few bits of wood and a few hinges and hey presto;) only thing we struggled with was the bed legs....So we used........Wait for it........Camping chairs.....3 of them....Cut the legs down, and they sit under the bed;) they provide perfect support plus pack away so quickly. It's cool, cos the bed is longer now. Defo going to miss the bed in Duke too as i laid down in Pia yesterday and i'm going to have to curl up again:(

Lace my palm with silver Scott and you can have him over to stay for good:D Nice sink in Duke too.

Well done Scott looks like a bargain, particularly like the smoked glass plates and cups they beat the sink hands down. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! :D

I was in Bytham today....I crawled the streets looking for Duke and Pia - but couldn't find them!

I did a job for someone on Saint Martins in Castle and then went to Stamford, through Little after! I'd of given you a call but I don't have your number after a tech meltown when I updated the software on my mobile (wiping all numbers). So I thought i'd turn up unannouced...but couldn't see the vans!

Looks fairly reasonable to me [^] Its nice to do it yourself from scratch, as you then find all the horrors and sort them properly knowing at the end you have a good van [8D]

Day of reckoning today....Duke has officially left our building:( Good thing is, he is going to a very good home and will be used by all Tim's lovely family. Tim is a really nice chap and will be a good dad to Dukey;) It's been an absolute pleasure owning such a beautifull van but it's time for me to start my new project....I know i'm going to be embarking on a lot of work ,and am defo barking mad but it's something i'd love to do and with all the help and advice/sympathy from folk here, i think i will be ok:) This readers ride will now come to an obvious end but i shall start a new one with 'Pia'......I'd like to thank everybody involved here for all the help and advice that you gave me with Duke and hope that you're kindness will stretch a bit more for Pia. I'd be very greatfull for that;)

So i now leave this thread behind to get buried amongst Readers Rides of past, but will leave you with a few last pics of the handsome devil being picked up and ceremoniously driven back to his new home in High Wycombe;) Bon Voyage Dukey my boy, be good and see you again one day....Cheers Tim;)

Pia is now under the carport once occupied by the Duke, she is awaiting some new clothes/shoes etc...Oh, and some new metal....Welding to you and i....I owe you a phonecall Tim(Commeracer) but i'm just waiting to hear back about my new panels..Only then i will know what spondoolies i have to play about with;)
