Thanks all for the gee up. Like Colin explained, once i have smoked a few cigs and paced up and down the garage, things got easier when i made a start. Infact, i kept on telling myself 'It's got to look better than it does currently' and it drove me on then.

Thankyee lots guys, it's warming to know i have made a half decent effort;) The other side will get done over the weekend. Today i shall be attempting to fit a shiny new cd/mp3 player. If the wiring will play ball that is? Oh, and another little swap around in the van at the weekend;) Saying nowt at the mo but should look the mutts nuts when done:p

I used Rust-Oleum Painters Touch. Heirloom White;) Not an obvious choice of paint i know but my mate recommended it to me! Swap around will be purely cosmetic but should look ace;)

I never got around to fitting the Cd player today as i need some more bits and bobs and never made it to Halfrauds in time. Plus, i found the bendy Drag Link this afternoon so i have been busy with getting quotes for insurance! Bit worrying though as Speedies and Martin don't sell the parts:eek:............Not my problem i suppose!!!

Hi all,

Well ,we had an eventfull Sunday yesterday. Thought we would tidy up Duke's interior a little bit so whilst i got on with Rubbing down the nasty red Hammerite on the drivers side seat mount and floor. Bex got on with the new floor:p

Not sure who remembers the layout of the van before but basicaly we had a forward facing seat that could be turned around so that you could sit at the table too. It also forms part of the double bed plus has some really handy storage underneath;) BUT........The van always seems so cramped ( I know that there is very little room at the best of times ) so once Bex finished the floor, it looked so spacious and was a shame to ruin half of the new floor by putting the big 'In the way' Box/seat.........

Problem is, it forms part of our bed!!!

So...Our two brain cells clanked and shook togther last night and with a little planning and a few glasses of wine, the bed situation is well on it's way to making it off the drawing board and put into action;)

It involves some plywood and a Futon bed mechanism:eek: i know......Trust me, itl be ok....I think HAHAHAHA!

Bare floor...Which was a nightmare due to somebody being rather happy with not only 'No Nails' but 'Pink Grip' too[xx(] Hammer and chisel was our only hope.

Cab and floor rubbed down and primed. Doesn't look as nice as the passenger side due to this side having more welding in the past:(

Duke is starting to resemble what we wanted him to be like when we brought him. Trouble was, back then i was too scared to rattle his cage. Not anymore;)

On a plus side, had a conversation with the Breakdown company this morning and they have accepted full liability for the damage done whislt on their Flatbed. Conversation went something like...........'Get it fixed and we will cover whatever the bill is'

Cool, I love that floor. The tiles have that streakeness in them like the proper old skool lino stuff. Where did you get them from again??

For the bed, why don't you get a rock 'n' roll bed from somewhere like Just Kampers?? They're supposed to be really good and should solve your little dilemma.
 
Great result on the Breakdown company issue, exactly what you needed. I'm loving that floor also.

Thanks Adam mate. The tiles came from www.madmatz.org a darksider's website but very friendly of course.

It's the streakiness that made us like them too;) As regards to the bed. We found a place that sell the Rock 'N' Roll bed but they're £150. Thought we would try the £20 route first:)
