Other engines?

Back to other engines...........So the Hunter and similar body shape engines fit straight in ? (with a bit of ancillary jiggling)
Ever thought about a 2L ohc Ford engine and box? Good parts availability,cheap,easy to work on etc.
 
would be interesting..theres a BW 35 autobox for sale locally thats to fit the Capri..all i would need to do in theory then is swap bellhousings and see to the engine mounts...

, move the radiator, modify the cooling system, uprate the brakes, modify the gear linkage and explain to the rest of us why you want to put a Ford lump where a Rootes one should be [:(!];). Just trying to promote healthy debate :)
 
tims got these v6's you think your overheating now!not recommended!awfull engine....rover v8 70lbs lighter extra 40hp,sound nicer [}:)]:D:D
 
Wow didnt think there would be that much extra weight with the ford lump....[:0]
For now the original unit will suffice...going to be keeping my eyes peeled for another unit though of 'Rootes' origin..
