Original colour.

go for it m8, i was condodering a colour change as i was raises believing green is an unlucky colour. but im keeping mine it original colour and just adding cream to the top 
good luck m8. are you going for the original cream or just something similer

" Green is an unlucky colour"
That always made me smile when I had the car site and we used to hear it a lot from mostly the older generation. My reply was always "what colour is your lawn and the leaves on your trees?" when the inevitable answer of green came back I used to say "do you have much bad luck at home?" That always stumped em!
Another favourite was " dont buy a red car as your more likely to have an accident in it" This was actually true but only because at the time there were a lot more red cars on the road than any other colour so statisticly you were more at risk but now its Silver cars you are more likely to have a crash in....but you dont hear " your more likely to have a crash in a silver car"
Another favourite was " its alright to leave it in, you cant pregnant the first time!" Happy days!

Its highly unlikely that the jack was originally the same colour as your van, it would have been black or possibly blue because thats how they came from the factory. Yours may have been painted to match the colour of your van at some time in its long life so its a good idea to have it scanned for a match anyway but who would know that any beige was not the original?

What's left of the paint on Harvey's jack is a creamy sort of colour, the same as the inside of the panels - I always thought it was a basic factory colour before he went off to the converters for the final paint to be applied (originally a sort of blue-y green)
