hello, long time no errr... post?

toby (tcfnac) has just passed his mot today with flying colours. although we have so much water on the roads i think we would be better off with a boat at the moment. haven't been able to get away much lately but had some lovely weekends away april/may time in toby and the odd trip to our local forest - which sam loves, so much so that now he ask for each time, are we bringing toby? - i think people must think we have another child hidden away somewhere.

sorry not been around on forum for awhile, life been very busy some good some bad but mostly work. have not managed to keep on top of postings at all so have been trying to have a quick scan to see if missed anything important?

have seeen info re cambridge looks like it will be a good meet. would have loved to have come - but have got hols planned for the week after. 2 weeks in toby planning to head up west of scotland prob not that far about fort william. so if anyone knows of any good sites/sights please let me know

We've just come back from a (mostly) nice weekend in North Berwick.

hi rupert.

we have a tow bar on toby and then use a rack that attaches to that. bit of a pain once on in that if you need to get in the back you have to climb through but generally it works well. i saw a camper (vw-[}:)])in forest the other night they had one that attached to their tow bar but then sort of tilted back so that they could open the rear window - looked a good idea but still don't think it would be enough to open rear doors.

any recommendations for good campsites would be great. think we are planning on heading up west coast prob as far as fort william and then poss accross and back down east. had thoughts of doing a bit of wild camping (ie parking up for the odd night in laybys/picnic spots) however was reading that this is getting hard to do with campers in scotland and lots of places now have no overnight parking signs - have you any expereince of this?
