That is fantastic. Wonder how much it will go for? Can't really justify another vehicle though....:(

I viewed this van several years ago when it was for sale in Newbury. It is a lovely example of a J2 with a very rare Cotswold conversion but it needed quite extensive work to the coachbuilt framework, which put me off buying it, the wood was and probably still is rotten and will need major dismantling to repair properly, the cab was also tatty and in need of restoration but the interior was superb and original although the last owner has made new cushions and curtains which would not be to everybodys taste.
If someone wants a project this may fit the bill and is well worth doing if you have the time and skills. :D
 
Oppps! wrong J2! This is my old van that is a rare Car Camper conversion. It was painted Surf Blue when I sold it about 4 years ago.
 
I have just had a proper look at the listing for the J2. The van had a superb original interior when I owned it and it now appears to have been junked in favour of that awful, unfinished DIY job. Why on earth did he do that and ruin a lovely rare van.
 
Alan, Could not agree more! He probably thinks he has improved it, when in fact he has taken about 2k+ off its true 'classic' value. It's happening more and more in the classic camper world with some real beauties being ruined, sadly you or I ain't going to stop it[:(!]

I started with nothing.....and I still have most of it!
 
Im gutted! To remove an excellent original and extremely rare interior and replace it with that mish mash is vandalism. I know its his van and he is entitled to do what he likes with it but he has ruined it and as you quite rightly say he has devalued it by thousands. What a shame.

Wow, some lovely vans in that little lot although i've seen some of them before. Than J2 is ace although a shame that it's been chopped and shaped:-(
