Worth every penny if you ask me. If it said VW on the front the price would be tripled.

Actually, can I ask you for a favour? I love that dashboard arrangement with the nice veneered plate covering the heater and the nice veneered radio surround. Would you mind terribly much taking a closer picture of this middle bit of the dashboard for me before you let the van go, and send it to me on my email [email protected] ?

I have a wooden plate covering the heater area on my '65 model, but it is far too modern and has troubled me since day one. A similar look to the Maidstone may be the solution. I'm having to re-veneer a a few bits of the interior in mine anyway, so it would go very nicely with everything else in there.
